Reimagining music composition

Gabe Sarnoff's discovery project explores the intersection of analog and digital sound through the composition of original music.  He combines the use of traditional instruments (e.g. guitar, bass and singing) with different electronic sounds and vocal processing techniques to find a way to tell a story of the contemporary human in limbo between the natural and the digital worlds.  The framework and tools of narrative structure have proven essential to his research - giving him new ways to approach compositional decisions with instruments serving as characters and melodies as dialogue.
