Future of Higher Education (FHE) Postdoctoral Fellow
Chrystal (she/they) is an academic and researcher who is passionate about establishing equitable access to STEM higher education. Her FHE postdoctoral work is centered on providing meaningful entrepreneurial and research experiences to undergraduate students. In parallel with her research work in vibration-based structural health monitoring, Chrystal is studying the best practices for building community and student self-confidence in STEM academia, through the mechanisms of mentorship and pedagogy.

Jared Robinson is a poet and critic from Indianapolis, Indiana. His research investigates the relationship between the articulated blackness of 19th century slave narrative and the theoretical elaborations of blackness as a concept in the present. His creative work, including poetry, essays, and short fiction, extends this investigation into the limits of description for “blackness” within black art.
