Yoseline brings her passion for equity and her deep care for individuals to her part-time work as the Discovery Equity Outreach Advisor. Her role is to help students bridge the gap between their present self and their dreams by connecting them with resources offered in the database. Yoseline approaches this work as a Latinx, first-generation, low-income (FGLI) individual from Oakland, CA who recently graduated from UC Berkeley with BA in Sociology with Education and Human Rights Interdisciplinary minors. Prior to her current role, Yoseline has worked in her community to address systemic barriers and advance equity through work with nonprofits like the Oakland Promise, YMCA of the East Bay, and Immigration Institute of the Bay Area (IIBA). In the future she hopes to stand with and lift up those who have been historically marginalized and is exploring the field of social work. In other job responsibilities, Yoseline supports day-to-day work in the Immediate Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education as one of the executive assistant’s for VPUE O’Reilly.
