Hello! I’m currently a rising junior studying Data Science with an emphasis in Cognition. I’m from Los Angeles, but I love the Bay Area much more! I play the violin in UC Berkeley’s Mariachi Luz de Oro and am obsessed with cinema/films; I was planning on double majoring in Film and Media Studies but decided to focus more on my Data Science major.
As a first-generation Latina student, It was difficult to access academic resources and opportunities. I find it really important that students are exposed to more opportunities on campus so that they are able to find those resources to succeed in their careers, especially those who aren’t able to access them as easily or simply don’t know where to start.
