Workshops We Offer Your Students

The Discovery Workshop Series assists students with every step of their discovery journey - from early inspiration to project conceptualization, from navigating campus opportunities to showcasing accomplishments. While any student can register for upcoming workshops via our calendar, we encourage faculty and staff to invite us to present any of these workshops to your programs and courses. Workshop #3 - Defining Your Purpose: Pathways to Developing Your Discovery Project

UC Berkeley has world class resources for students to extend their learning beyond the classroom through hands-on immersive projects. Students develop their projects within the "co-curricular landscape" of campus, organized around a number of related ecosystems of student resources including undergraduate research, arts, entrepreneurship, and social justice activism. In workshop #3 you will learn about how to create ambitious and immersive projects that utilize these resources, and strategies for lifelong immersive learning.

Workshop #4 - Telling Your Story: Project Completion and the Power of Your Discovery Narrative

What did you DO at UC Berkeley? Your answer to this question is much more important than “what did you major in?” or “how did you do in school?.” Workshop #4 will help you tell the story of your Berkeley experience by reflecting on 1) what did you learn about yourself and the world while at Berkeley and 2) how to frame these experiences to open doors for the next chapter of your life after graduation.
