Where to Connect with Identity-based Communities:
- Thriving Initiatives: These initiatives support systematically marginalized populations to thrive at UC Berkeley such as the Latinx Thriving Initiative and African American Thriving Initiative
- EJCE Cultural Centers: Berkeley’s Centers for Educational Justice & Community Engagement (EJCE) holds resource centers for diverse communities including the Gender Equity Center and Asian American Student Development.
- CE3 Identity Centers: Berkeley’s Centers for Educational Equity & Excellence (CE3) provides resource centers for specific student experiences such as the Transfer Student Center, Educational Opportunity Program, Student Parent Center and Undocumented Student Program.
- Student Leadership Cultural Centers: Berkeley Student Leadership & Engagement also offers cultural resource centers including Queer Alliance & Resource Center (QARC) and bridges Multicultural Resource Center (MRC).
- Identity-Based Scholar Support: Berkeley students have created identity-based groups across campus to support each other in scholarship such as Berkeley Underground Scholars, Undergraduate Researchers of Color (UROC) or search cultural affinity student clubs in CalLink. You can also find units across campus supporting student communities in STEM through the Berkeley Scholars Consortium.

- UC Berkeley Events Calendar: Find and attend events all across campus on UC Berkeley’s centralized events calendar.
- L&S New Student Guide: As the largest college on campus, Letters & Sciences offers comprehensive guides for incoming students.
- Transition to Cal Courses: Many units and departments offer courses that support students in transitioning to Cal including L&S 198 courses for transfer or re-entry students, L&S 1 for all incoming students, or by major such as HUM 100 for Arts & Humanities or Physics 153 for transfer students. To find current transition courses, search the course schedule by key words like transition and transfer or ask your academic advisor about transition courses.
