Healthy salmon habitat

Phoebe is working with Rachael Ryan, a graduate student in the ESPM department, to study juvenile salmonid foraging behavior across the Lagunitas watershed, in Marin county. This summer, she studied the impact of physical habitat characteristics, such as local geology and water temperature, on foraging behavior. They collected all of their data in the field, and used underwater video cameras to film the fish. Phoebe's senior thesis will ask how the movement and foraging behavior of juvenile salmonids changes over the course of the summer.
