Life Sciences, Business, and Entrepreneurship

Undergraduate Program

Introduction to the Major

The Robinson Life Science, Business, and Entrepreneurship (LSBE) Program is a jointly-administered program through the Haas School of Business and the College of Letters & Science. Students earn a BS in Business Administration and a BA in Molecular and Cell Biology, and take courses that prepare students for success in industries like biotech, pharma, healthcare, and beyond.

In addition to specialized coursework taught by award-winning faculty, the program offers networking opportunities, career coaching, and mentoring opportunities within a peer-to-peer cohort of students whose interest in the life sciences is fueled by their curiosity and passion to change people’s lives for the better

This program is a great bridge between the technical learning that makes biology interesting and the business development that brings the innovation to life.”

Saloni Patel, LSBE Student

Admission to the Program

Admission to LSBE is open to students who enter UC Berkeley as freshmen. Students apply during sophomore year, and must complete all prerequisite requirements for the Business and Molecular and Cell Biology majors. We seek applicants who are:
